With an emergency family circumstance at hand in terms of my first real estate purchase, I was off to find an attorney to help me get through this. After researching, identifying and discussing my situation with several Brooklyn Law Firms, I selected “Lewis & Hand”, primarily based on my conversation with Apryl. As it turned out, this decision could not have ended better. “Lewis & Hand” and especially Apryl were pivotal to me and my family overcoming and resolving multiple difficulties and hurdles (legal as well people issues) in the process of buying my current home (i.e. our case was far from the norm – and time was critical). They were very professional and competent as well as being very personable and easy to work with. I would choose them again as well as recommend them to others. As I told Apryl, “You were a life saver in my case”, as I thought that this transaction was never going to happen.

In Good Hands and Best Real Estate Law Firm Ever and of course friendly!!!!!! We are first home buyers and were in a very complicated contract since we closed the contract before the house was finished and were in contract even before the house was in construction. And on top of it, we dealt with untrusted seller. Apryl Hand drafted an excellent contract with all different protection scenarios. Months after we moved in the limestone building, we encounted many problems including the sewer line and water line, but thanks to the best Lawyer Apryl, she fought for us to have them cover the cost for new sewer and water line. I actually do not have the right words to describe how excellent Lewis& Hand law firm is. I think 5 stars are not doing justice to the law firm – the Company deserves DIAMOND STAR.

Go the extra mile! When I needed a lawyer to sell my apartment, I figured I would track down the real estate lawyer who took me through the process when I bought. When that didn’t work, I found Lewis & Hand. Apryl and her staff are knowledgeable and go the extra mile to make the whole process as smooth as possible. I wasn’t able to make my closing, so I signed my power of attorney to her and she took care of everything. I passed on her card to another person who was selling in my building – I hope they call!

Down to earth, friendly, efficient and responsive are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of Apryl Hand. If anyone needs a good real estate attorney, she is the one to meet. My husband and I recently purchased a home in Queens and in the initial stages of the purchasing process when I began my search for an attorney, there were some that never bothered to return my calls or, in other cases, would simply refer me to their paralegals for the first consultation. Then I found Apryl after reading the great reviews and I was quite impressed by her warmth, honesty, and just the plain fact that she didn’t exhibit any airs. After our first conversation, I decided she was the attorney we were looking for and we did not regret our decision one bit. She facilitated an otherwise acrimonious process between the sellers and their attorney and basically fought to ensure that we were not going to be “jipped” in the process. Additionally, I would like to say her staff is great and if she was otherwise preoccupied, Arielle or Jennifer was there to answer your questions or emails and the latter were responded to in a timely manner. The process is over and thank goodness she was there for us every step of the way. Once again, I highly recommend her and you won’t regret the decision.

Happy in our new home For us, buying our apartment was anything but simple. And I’m so glad that we were working with Apryl and Arielle. They were great advocates for us, reminding us of our rights and constantly pushing for our best interests. They respond quickly to emails and calls. Highly recommend! My husband and I couldn’t be happier with everything Apryl and her team did for us during our selling and buying process. Apryl helped us close on two apartments – first, for the place we were selling and second, for the place we were buying. In good hands Apryl explained things so well and made us feel so comfortable with the process that we turned over the closing on our house to her while we attended the closing on our new house in another city the same day. And then when we came back to buy an apartment in Brooklyn, there was no question about who should get our first call. Again, Apryl and the office staff patiently walked us through the process. We located Lewis and Hand by contacting the Brooklyn Bar Association for assistance in settling the estate of my brother. We were impressed after a personal interview with Apryl Hand, and have been very satisfied with the results. Ms. Hand took care of the court documents through the probate process, being granted letters of administration, setting up the estate account, and walked us through a few thorny issues which came up as we went along. She was thorough and helpful throughout, and the staff at the firm was quite responsive to our many needs. She also handled the real estate transaction for us when his coop apartment was sold. We could not have made a better choice at a difficult time for the family.

Client on Real Estate Purchase This is the second house we’ve purchased. While our experience with our lawyer on the first purchase was fine, we both felt we could find someone better to work with on round two — someone more responsive, organized, and just generally helpful, etc. My wife is a research maven, and after doing a lot of leg work on line she found Lewis and Hand; there were a lot of positive things about them online, and quite honestly, they just seemed like good people that we would enjoy working with from the photo on their home page.
